Vassily Nebenzia – Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN
Stephen Sackur speaks to Russia’s ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia. More than 100 days into its invasion of Ukraine, Russia is locked in attrition, enduring economic sanctions and diplomatic isolation. Is Putin’s plan failing?
In this interview, Mr Nebenzia comes out better as an individual than he does simply regurgitating the blatant lies that he is paid to pontificate at the UN. He is robust without being rude and I should imagine that his paymasters in the Kremlin are pleased with his performance.
The fact that the Kremlin as a whole is simply an organisation of losers masquerading as a sovereign state is appalling. Somewhat in sync perhaps, with the previous occupants of the White House in Washington DC, USA under the biggest loser ever in the democratic world, whose political party he represents is riddled with racism, stuffed into fascism, stuffed into grift.
We are aware that we may be in danger of going the same way here in Britain led by a Prime Minister BoJo Pinocchio and a Conservative Party that have similar characteristics to the US GOP.
The man best placed to run Russia has also been interviewed by Stephen Sakur namely Mikhail Khodorkovsky. He is an outstanding businessman and one who has been imprisoned and would follow a long line of ex-prisoners who have gone on to lead their country like Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Vaclav Havel and Michelle Bachelet to name but five.
