COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019): The disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection.
The disease and causative virus were first identified in Wuhan, China, in December 2019 and quickly spread throughout the world.
COVID-19 can cause a variety of symptoms, including fever, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea, extreme fatigue, and coughing. Symptoms appear 2 to 14 days after exposure to the virus, although some individuals may be infected with SARS-CoV-2 and not develop symptoms at all (see asymptomatic infection).
COVID-19 may be mild, moderate, or severe…
Tweeted: New COVID-19 variant: How dangerous is Omicron? Originally published 2021/11/28 at 3:28 pm | https://bit.ly/3x8e7cl | What have we learned? “This summer surge of new COVID infections is being billed as the pandemic of the unvaccinated. The evidence is clear, vaccines are safe and they will prevent you from dying. It could be billed as the pandemic of the ill-informed.”
However, whilst this picture was poignant at the time, later research suggests otherwise from an advisor to a UK parliamentary committee:
The research evidence I have seen is that the very opposite is true. People who are so sick that they end up in hospital are now most likely to be the triple vaccinated.
Their immune system responsiveness has plummeted by nearly 60% and no-one has done anything to help them modify their underlying risk factors, because the jab is going to do it all for them. The system is so far from a Health Service that it deserves the same status as the “Ministry of Truth”.

Talking of which, people in Russia and elsewhere are restricted from free use of the internet by government diktat. They get around this by using a VPN, a Virtual Private Network which allows you to access the internet despite government imposed restrictions.
If you want to watch programmes from a foreign country, you can also use the VPN facility.
