‘Cutting Discovery on the Bias – the role of prejudice in learning’
With Turing’s own sexuality struggles in mind, the lecture will examine how too often academic investigation has been and continues to be hampered or skewed by confirmation bias and socially engineered distortions.

Donald Trump
President of the United States (2017–2021, 2025–present)
Donald Trump was recruited by the KGB with codename ‘Krasnov’, claims an ex-Soviet spy in an article published by ‘The Mirror’

The decision to go to war shouldn’t be left to a low-IQ racist, narcissistic toddler with impulse issues. I wonder if our generals feel like Hitler’s generals. In both cases, experienced and trained military professionals had to follow very stupid orders. In Hitler’s case, those orders cost Germany thousands of soldiers, either through death or capture.
Hitler was a veteran while Trump dodged the Vietnam War, citing bone spurs.
To the idiot conspiracy-theory spreading trolls at GoComics believing yesterday’s cartoon signals I’m for bombing Iran, no, morons. How could you come to that conclusion after years of reading my work?
To be clear, I do NOT support starting a war against any nation that hasn’t attacked us. This case is particularly stupid.
Donald Trump is demanding peace from Iran, which has never attacked us, after he dropped massive bombs on it. We HAD peace with Iran.
Years ago, Trump falsely predicted that President Barack Obama would start a war with Iran because he would be incapable of negotiating. Except it was President Obama who successfully negotiated for Iran to end its nuclear program, and the treaty was working. Iran was complying with all the conditions.
It was Trump who canceled the agreement and is now bombing Iran because he’s incapable of negotiating. And why would Iran want to negotiate with Donald Trump when they know they can’t trust him. How many treaties and agreements has Trump broken?
Iran doesn’t have a nuclear bomb today, or Trump and Bibi would not have bombed them. But Donald Trump just taught Iran that they need a nuclear weapon.
We may be slow learners of history, but the Iranians may not be. We forgot the history lessons of Vietnam and invaded Iraq. Iran probably remembers our demands on Iraq and Libya to lose their nuclear programs, only to see their regimes overthrown later.
Another history lesson we’re forgetting is our regime changes in Iraq and Afghanistan. How long is Trump prepared to commit US troops to this war? It’ll be a lot longer than Trump will be in office.
Last night, Trump said to the nation, “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.” And then he said there are other targets.
So which is it? Are their nuke capabilities “totally obliterated,” or do we need to keep bombing them? Or are we going to keep bombing them because it gives Trump a woody?
This is Israel’s war, and a war they didn’t have to start. It’s not our war…or it wasn’t.
What happens next? Will Trump keep bombing Iran? Will Israel? Will Iran start targeting American ships in the Persian Gulf or our bases in the region? Will Iran target Americans in the region? Will they hit our embassies?
Trump doesn’t understand this issue, yet he’s gambling with our resources. He’s gambling with American lives. The problem now is that the Trump Baby has to save face. If Iran fights back, so will he, but not at any risk to him.
Creative note: I wrote six ideas for this subject, and I may use one or two of them later this week.
Vladimir Putin. The fella on the right
President of Russia (1999–2008, 2012–present)

Senator Thom Tillis has entered his “honest but retiring” phase—the political version of a midlife crisis where regret flows freely and accountability is still gently deflected. In his first big interview since announcing he won’t seek re-election, Tillis admitted that, yes, maybe handing the Pentagon over to Pete Hegseth—a former Fox News personality with a passion for flags, beer, and bro-code leadership—wasn’t his finest hour.
Hegseth, it turns out, is “out of his depth,” which Tillis says only became obvious after Hegseth started treating U.S. defense policy like an episode of Duck Dynasty. Case in point: authorizing a weapons shipment pause to Ukraine without bothering to tell the White House. Tillis called it “amateurish,” which is the Senate’s polite term for “we hired a guy who thinks command structure is a brand of whiskey.”
Of course, back when it mattered, Tillis tried to get Hegseth’s nomination pulled over abuse allegations—but then Trump threatened to primary him, and suddenly Hegseth was Secretary of Defense material. Now that Tillis is retiring, he’s found the courage to say what we all suspected: “Whoops.”
But wait, there’s more. Tillis also took a mild jab at RFK Jr., currently serving as Health Secretary and presumably distributing herbal supplements at Cabinet meetings. Apparently, Tillis supported Kennedy’s nomination because Sen. Bill Cassidy said “let’s see how it goes,” which is also how people decide whether to microwave seafood in the office kitchen.
On top of that, Tillis remains deeply worried about Trump’s domestic agenda, specifically the part that slashes Medicaid like it’s a bloated government piñata. He warned Trump it was political suicide, voted against the bill, and then watched the president cheerfully sign it anyway. Naturally, Tillis blames “Trump’s advisers,” aka the mysterious, ever-present cabal of enablers who somehow run everything while the president’s just an innocent bystander in his own administration.
Still, Tillis insists he has no beef with Trump himself. Just the decisions, the personnel, the policies, and the outcomes.
In other words: classic GOP exit strategy—criticize the chaos after you’ve packed your bags.
Scottish woman blamed for giving birth to a Russian Spy
Mother of Donald Trump (1912–2000)
Mary Anne Trump was a Scottish-American socialite and philanthropist. She was the wife of the real-estate developer Fred Trump and the mother of Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th president of the United States. Born a native Scottish Gaelic-speaker in the Outer Hebrides, MacLeod immigrated to the U.S but was it legal?
Mary Anne MacLeod Trump must be turning in her grave at the wilful egregious actions of her son years after her death.

People in the future honestly won’t believe that a Bible-selling, gold sneaker-selling, sexual assaulting, sleepy, farting, diaper wearing, insurrection-inciting, lying CRIMINAL with 91 felony counts was the Republican presidential nominee of 2024.
I can hardly believe it myself.

DearElon Musk.
You are one billionaire I can think of who hasn’t stolen their way to their profits. Your continued support for the Starlink system upon which President Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy of Ukraine and his countrymen and women rely to defeat the one-sided illegal onslaught. Update to this: Trump landed with £300,000 costs after losing ‘Dirty Dossier’ case against Christopher Steele! Donald J Trump handed bill in UK court after he fails to prove former MI6 spy breached data protection law. And he has not paid it. Surprise surprise. Another scam…
Who would have thought it? A man who has his tiny hands on nuclear codes and who is Commander in Chief of the worlds most powerful military complex is at he same time weak and timid before another man who is simply brighter and in charge of a crumbling economy, a resourceful yet badly led military and who will not win the war he has engaged in since 2014. He just doesn’t have all the cards!
This ‘Tiny Hands’ man Trump deserves to be charged with war crimes, alongside Putin for the death of countless Ukrainians after Krasnov applied the Kill Switch to US intelligence recently. What bravery and one up to the KGB!

The United States of America is the UK’s Number One Military Ally. We shall have to endure a malign stochastic sociopath felon becoming the US president. How does that work we wonder…

“Judge Juan Merchan seems hellbent on making Donald Trump take the oath of office saying, ‘I, Donald Trump, a convicted felon, do solemnly swear … .’ He’s scheduled Trump’s hush money sentencing for January 10 and doesn’t seem inclined to change it, though he does say he won’t send the president to prison. Trump is suing. Inauguration Day is the 20th.”-CB
